The Air Force Common Admission Test is an examination conducted by Indian Air Force which can be taken after graduation for selection in Indian Air force in Flying Branch, Technical Branch or Ground Branch
Candidate must fulfill the basic minimum eligibility criteria prescribed by the concerned authority to appear in AFCAT exam. One must comply with the following requirements:
Candidate must have obtained 60% marks in graduation in any discipline with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or B.E./B. Tech. or
Must have secured 60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).
Candidate should not be born earlier than 2nd July 1995 and not later than 1st July 1999.

Completed four-year graduation or integration PG in Engineering/Technology or

Those selected in the online written test will have to clear the interview round also. The selected aspirants who clear both the rounds will finally be eligible for IAF course cum post.
The candidates who are selected in AFCAT will be commissioned either as ‘Short Service Commission” or “Permanent Commission” in Indian Air Force. Those candidates who are selected for SSC in Flying Branch are engaged for 14 years and those who are selected for Ground Duty and Technical Branches are engaged for 10 years which can be extended for the next 4 years depending on willingness, requirement and availability of vacancies. Those candidates who are selected for Permanent Commission would continue to serve until the age of superannuation.
The duration training of Flying and Technical Branches is 74 weeks and that of Ground Duty Branch is 52 weeks.
Time Duration: AFCAT Exam duration will be 2 hours.
Total Questions: The total number for the question wills 100.
Total Marks: Each question will 3 marks.
Negative Marking: Each wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted.
Mode of Exam: Candidates can give the AFCAT Exam through Online Mode.
